Furever Pet – UX/UI Social Campaign App Design

The "Furever Pet" social campaign aims to raise awareness about the serious consequences of pet abandonment, both for the animals and the community. Abandoning pets can lead to severe animal welfare issues, including starvation, untreated diseases, exposure to harsh weather, and uncertain rescue or adoption outcomes. Additionally, abandoned animals can pose safety risks, become nuisances in communities, and potentially cause harm when feeling threatened.

    1. Lifestyle Changes: Events like job loss, divorce, new babies, or health issues can lead owners to surrender pets.

    2. Moving: Relocation to pet-unfriendly housing or situations where pets cannot be accommodated.

    3. Lack of Time: Busy schedules may cause owners to neglect their pets' needs, leading to abandonment.

    4. Cost of Pet Ownership: Underestimating expenses related to vet care, food, and other necessities.

    5. Health Issues: Older or sick pets requiring more care and resources may be abandoned when their needs become too demanding.

  • The pandemic has exacerbated animal abandonment, with many "COVID-19 pets" being surrendered to overflowing shelters as families find themselves unable to care for them properly.
